PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy was last updated on July 12, 2017.

Our Policy:

Welcome to the website (the “Site”) of CompCurve Inc. (“CompCurve,” “we,” “us” or “our”). We operate the Site to provide information about our company and the real estate data analytics and insight services that we provide to our clients through the CompCurve platform (such services together with the CompCurve platform and the Site, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes information that CompCurve and the third parties with which we work to operate the Service collect through the Service, including information from and about visitors to the Site (“visitors”) and users of the CompCurve platform (“users”).

 Information We Collect:

When you interact with us through the Service, we may collect Personal Information (as defined below) and other information from you as follows:

Personal Information: “Personal Information” is information that identifies an individual, like your full name or email address, or a combination of several pieces of information, each of which could not identify you on its own but which might identify you when combined together, like a portion of your name and the name of your employer.  We collect Personal Information from you when you voluntarily provide such information to us through the Service, such as when you contact us to request a demo or inquire about the CompCurve platform.

When you register for a client account with CompCurve to access the CompCurve platform as a user, we will ask you to, at your option, set up a password for your account or log in through an Integrated Service (as defined below), and provide us with your full name, email address and certain information about your real estate practice.  By setting up a client account and registering for the Service, you represent that you have the authority to provide such information to us.  To the extent that you provide any Personal Information about others in setting up a client account or through your other use of the Service, you also represent that you have the authority and permission to provide such information to us.

By voluntarily providing us with Personal Information, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Information to us through the Service, you are consenting to the transfer of that Personal Information from your current location to the offices and servers of CompCurve and the authorized third parties referred to herein located in the United States, and the processing and storage of that Personal Information by us or by such authorized third parties in the United States.

            Other Information:

IP Addresses; Device IDs: When you visit the Site or otherwise use the Service, we or our service providers may collect your IP address (the Internet address of your computer). We or our service providers may use IP addresses for various purposes, including to analyze and report upon visits to and usage of the Service; to diagnose and prevent service or technology problems affecting the Service; and to monitor and prevent fraud and abuse. If you access the Service on a mobile device, we or our service providers may also collect the device type and identification number and request access to settings information for similar purposes and to help provide personalized Service content or ads. By visiting or using the Service, you are consenting to the collection of IP addresses and device identifiers.

Location Information: We or our service providers may collect and use your location information to provide certain functionality on the Service.  We may have access to your location information if you provide it to us directly, if we or our service providers approximate your location based on your IP address or, if you are a user, through information we obtain from our business partners or from publicly available sources.  We may also use your location information in an aggregate way, as described above in the “Aggregated Information” section.

Automatically Collected Information; Analytics: When you interact with CompCurve through the Service, we use various technologies to passively collect information from you that, on its own, does not identify you personally. CompCurve may collect and store this information, or this information may be collected by and included in databases owned and maintained by our agents or service providers. If we combine this information with Personal Information, we will treat the combination like Personal Information.

An example of the technology we use to collect this information is called a "cookie." A cookie is a piece of information that the computer that hosts the Service gives to your browser when you visit the Site or access the Service. Our cookies and similar technologies help us provide functionality on the Service, analyze how visitors and users use the Service, measure Site traffic and related browsing behavior and improve visitors’ and users’ experiences when using the Service.  For instance, we may set a cookie on your browser to help us identify you so that you only have to enter a password once during a visit to the Service, or we may use information collected through cookies and similar technologies and combine it with other analytics information to track our visitors’ and users’ browser software and the domain names of our visitors’ and users’ Internet service providers, or to help us understand how visitors are directed to the Site and which features of the CompCurve platform are of the greatest interest to users. On most web browsers, you will find a “help” section on the toolbar. Please refer to this section for information on how to receive notification when you are receiving a new cookie and how to turn cookies off. If you turn cookies off, you may not be able to take advantage of some of the Service’s features.

We may allow third-party service providers to use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your use of the Service and your browsing activities over time and across different websites following your use of the Service to improve the functionality of and visitor and user experience with the Service, and to display relevant ads to our visitors and users through the Service and on other websites and services. For example, we use Google Analytics, an analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), and Heap, an analytics service provided by Heap Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how visitors and users use the Service and enhance your experience when you use the Service. For more information on how Google uses this data and how you can control the information sent to Google, go to www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. Heap helps us understand how visitors and users engage with the Service by collecting information on page views, clicks, swipes, taps and other ways you and other visitors and users interact with the Service.

Aggregated Information: In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve visitors to and users of the Service, CompCurve often conducts research on its client demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Information and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and CompCurve may share this aggregated information with its affiliates, agents and business partners. This aggregated information does not identify you personally. CompCurve may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe the Service to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

Do Not Track Signals: The Service currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals and operates as described in this Privacy Policy whether or not a DNT signal is received. If we do respond to DNT signals in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe how we do so.

CompCurve uses the Personal Information you give us for the reason that you provided it to us. For example, if you give us Personal Information to obtain access to the Service as a user, we will use your Personal Information to provide you with access to the Service and to facilitate your use of Service features and content, such as market-specific real estate data.  If you contact us by email for a client service matter, we will use the information you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem.

CompCurve may also use your Personal Information and other information collected through your use of the Service alone or in combination with information we obtain from our business partners to help us improve the content and functionality of the Service; to better understand our users; to provide relevant content to you, which could include online ads; and to contact you in the future to tell you about features of the Service or other services we believe may be of interest to you.  Information obtained from our business partners may include, for example, telephone directory information and other information about real estate practices in a particular market, such as online marketing tools and services that such practices use. While we will treat any Personal Information obtained from our business partners in accordance with this Privacy Policy, please note that this Privacy Policy does not govern the means through which our third-party business partners collect Personal Information or the manner in which they use, store and disclose Personal Information to us, and that CompCurve will have no liability or responsibility for the policies, practices or actions of such business partners.  If we use your information to send you marketing communications via email, each email will contain instructions permitting you to "opt out" of receiving future marketing communications from us.  If at any time you wish not to receive any future marketing communications or you wish to have your name deleted from our mailing lists, please contact us as indicated below.
